Job summary

RL Controls is seeking a Field Service Technician in Oregon to install, test, and service vehicle systems for mass transit applications. You will upgrade equipment, perform wiring, and handle network-related tasks both on-site and in the field.

The role requires 2+ years of field service experience, a technical degree is preferred, and the ability to read complex schematics. Travel nationwide is expected with a valid driver’s license; safety standards are integral to daily work.

Qualifications

• 2+ years field service experience in mass transit is required.
• Technical degree preferred; industry certifications are a plus.
• Ability to read technical documentation, specifications, and schematics.
• Experience with CCTV/IP camera technologies and IP networking.
• Willingness to travel nationally; valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Install, upgrade, and test vehicle systems.
• Perform system testing, integration, and troubleshooting as part of a project team.
• Conduct site surveys and attend site-specific meetings.
• Install and commission wired and wireless low-voltage network solutions.
• Validate network functionality and document results.
