Job summary

Sioux Area Metro, a Via entity, is hiring a Facilities Technician to help maintain SAM’s properties in Sioux Falls. On-the-job training is provided. You will clean buses, shelters and buildings and assist with general yard work and light maintenance across SAM facilities.

The ideal candidate has basic knowledge of HVAC, carpentry and plumbing, holds a valid SD driver’s license, and can obtain a CDL permit. A pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check are required.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of HVAC, carpentry and plumbing.
• Valid SD driver's license.
• Able to obtain CDL permit.
• Able to pass a pre-employment physical.
• Pass a drug screen and background check.
• At least 21 years old.
• Able to apply in person at the Sioux Area Metro office.

Responsibilities

• Clean buses, bus shelters, and buildings.
• Maintain buildings and grounds, including general yard work and light building maintenance skills.
• Additional responsibilities will be shared during the interview.
