Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory custodial experience in a large department or multi-site setting.
• Experience managing supervisors and frontline staff.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet Maryland insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the MTA Light Rail janitorial services contract to meet contract requirements and performance standards.
• Ensure staffing levels, quality standards, and service expectations are consistently met.
• Serve as the primary point of contact with the MTA Project Manager and attend contract review meetings.
• Coordinate staffing across locations, shifts, weekends, and holidays; develop SOPs and escalation processes.
• Supervise custodial supervisors, lead workers, floor technicians, and cleaning crews.
• Build a positive, accountable, and safety-focused team culture; coach and develop supervisors and staff.
• Conduct regular staff and safety meetings; address employee concerns promptly; oversee daily inspections and QA processes.
• Monitor performance, implement corrective actions, and ensure timely documentation and reporting.
