Job summary

MV Transportation seeks a Classroom Trainer to deliver classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction to new hires and current employees in defensive driving, documentation, route planning, service area familiarization, and vehicle operator procedures.

The role includes coordinating training programs with safety teams, conducting refresher sessions, and ensuring accurate training records while supporting client needs and contract compliance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Prior passenger transportation experience.
• Prior commercial driving training experience.
• DOT Instructor Course in Bus Operator Training preferred but not required.
• Must hold a valid Texas driver's license.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Excellent safety and service record.

Responsibilities

• Assist in initial screening of new hire candidates.
• Provide classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel training as per client specs.
• Provide monthly and/or annual refresher training.
• Assist safety and training department in identifying training needs.
• Ensure staffed vehicle operators per contract guidelines.
• Document all training activities and maintain records.
• Develop relationships with client agency personnel for training opportunities.
• Provide feedback for operator performance reviews.
• Assist in incident and collision investigations.
• Participate in audits and inspections.
