Job summary

FailSafe Communications is seeking a Dispatcher to report to the Operations Control Manager. The role focuses on evaluating unscheduled events, taking corrective action, and ensuring timely work assignments to bus operators within labor agreements.

Qualifications

• Experience scheduling workforce and coordinating with supervisors.
• Strong understanding of labor agreements and how they affect assignments.

• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet service goals.

Responsibilities

• Develops a daily dispatch plan based on equipment and operator availability.
• Maintains scheduled and unscheduled service at a rate above 99% while controlling overtime costs.
• Applies labor agreement rules to assign extra board and handle diverse operational situations.
• Provides radio contact and dispatches field supervisors as needed.
• Verifies accuracy of time clocks, vehicle/operator documents, and driver licenses.
• Follows safety rules and maintains professional relations with staff, customers, and vendors.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
