Job summary

Frederick County Transit Services is seeking a customer-focused individual to serve as a vital link between riders and our Transit team. The role provides hands-on support to riders, helps them access transit services in printed and digital formats, and ensures concerns are communicated to staff.

You will ride routes, assist passengers, support outreach for service changes, and maintain responsive communication with the public.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or the equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience providing customer service directly to the public.
• Experience using computers and smartphones.

Responsibilities

• Ride the bus to note operational and service issues; communicate with Transit staff.
• Coordinate service change outreach and distribute timetables at centers and stops.
• Learn proposed route modifications and answer passenger questions.
• Use Google Maps, Transit app, and related tech to share information and report discrepancies.
• Serve as liaison between customers and Transit staff and provide resolutions.
