Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Downtown Los Angeles office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of transit-focused experience to join our Transit team. This position is not remote.

The successful candidate will contribute to the production and delivery of transit design projects with focus on BRT and LRT, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, and engage with clients to ensure project success in the Los Angeles area.

Qualifications

• P.E. license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• 4+ years of transit-focused engineering experience.
• Experience in transit corridor design including BRT/LRT.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong communication and client interaction skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to production and delivery of transit design projects (BRT/LRT).
• Assist in corridor concept development and public outreach.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and client communications.
• Support station design and related facilities.
