Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 2-5 years of progressive civil engineering experience.
• Experience with transit infrastructure, rail, municipal public works, or transportation projects.
• Leading multi-million-dollar infrastructure projects from concept through construction.
• Familiarity with local codes, agency processes, and permitting.
• Proficient in AutoCAD/Civil 3D/MicroStation/InRoads or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and delivery of transit infrastructure or public works projects, including rail, roadways, utility improvements, and stations.
• Serve as Engineer of Record (EOR), ensuring all engineering work complies with applicable codes, standards, and agency requirements.
• Oversee preparation of plans, specifications, estimates (PS&E), technical reports, and design calculations.
• Coordinate with city agencies and other stakeholders.
• Provide mentorship and technical oversight to junior engineers and project teams.
• Manage consultant teams, subconsultants, and interdisciplinary coordination.
• Support construction management and engineering support during construction (ESDC) services.
• Participate in client meetings, public presentations, and project status reporting.
• Assist with proposal writing, business development, and client relationship management.
