Job summary

Fmgandcompany seeks a Project Controls Specialist to oversee the capital project lifecycle with a focus on design (architecture and civil engineering). You will manage cost analysis, budget development, accrual accounting, procurement, and forecasting to keep programs on track.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Architecture, Business, or Accounting or equivalent training/experience in project management.
• 5+ years of experience in project controls or related field.
• Experience in transportation or public agency projects is preferred.
• Project management certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist client and internal project managers with managing multiple projects through the entire development life cycle from concept to contracts and risk registers.
• Collaborate with all parties to ensure progression according to plan while managing several projects simultaneously.
• Support development of monthly budget and schedule performance analysis.
• Set up cost control systems to link accounting functions and track commitments, costs and forecasts by project codes and WBS.
• Provide accurate and timely information to support decisions and corrective actions.
• Ensure project elements adhere to the plan and reflect approved changes in baselines and schedules.
• Drive the review process.
