Qualifications

• Two (2) years journey-level diesel or heavy equipment maintenance/repair experience.
• Two (2) years automotive maintenance/repair experience.
• Two (2) years heavy duty transit bus repair maintenance/repair.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses problems with equipment and subsystems to determine repair needs and costs.
• Rebuilds/repairs diesel engines, hydraulic systems, brakes, transmissions and electrical components.
• Performs minor equipment maintenance such as replacing lights, fluids and hoses.
• Performs preventive maintenance on transit vehicles to extend life and reduce costs.
• Obtains needed parts to facilitate maintenance and repair.
