Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a dependable Armed Security Officer – Transit to protect the RTD transit system across the Denver metro area. You will safeguard passengers, employees, and property at bus routes, light rail stations, and major transit hubs.

The role requires strong interpersonal and de-escalation skills, calm judgment under pressure, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Compensation is $25.00 per hour with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Armed security roles require reliable attendance, strong communication, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Candidates must meet one of: 2+ years law enforcement, 1+ year active military, or 1+ year corrections; or 7 years unarmed security, 3 years armed security, or 60 college credits.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service while following safety and security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the client site and perimeter.
