Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a highly dependable Armed Security Officer - Transit to protect the RTD transit system across the Denver metro area. The role focuses on safeguarding passengers, employees and property at bus routes, light rail stations and major hubs.

The position requires 21+ for armed roles, a high school diploma (or 5 years verifiable experience), and may include background checks and drug screening. Excellent communication and de-escalation skills are valued.

Qualifications

• 2 years of law enforcement experience, 1 year of active-duty military service, or 1 year of corrections experience.
• In lieu of this, 7 years of unarmed security experience, 3 years of armed security experience, or 60 college credits.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out safety and security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and solve problems.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
