Job summary

HOK’s New York office is seeking Architects to join our growing Interiors practice. This role exercises independent judgment in evaluating design and construction details, supports project preparation, and documents project findings for client presentations.

You will lead planning efforts, manage budgets, coordinate with disciplines, and mentor junior staff. A licensed Architect with NCARB and LEED accreditation is preferred, with a hybrid work setting in New York.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior architecture or equivalent in education or experience required.
• 5+ years interiors-focused architectural experience.
• Licensed Architect with current registration in your region required; NCARB preferred.
• LEED accreditation or Green Associate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads team in planning work and developing solutions to technical and design detail problems.
• Establishes, maintains and adheres to project budget and schedule.
• Supervises preparation of technical drawings by less senior staff.
• Prepares client presentations and presents design concepts and drawings.
• Ensures construction documents conform to QA/QC and best practices.
• Incorporates Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects.
• Mentors and directs work of less experienced staff.
