Job summary

St. John’s Community Health in South Los Angeles is seeking an Outreach Coordinator to promote HIV prevention services for transgender individuals within the Community to Clinic program, and to build ties with local transgender service providers.

You will develop relationships with providers in South L.A., conduct outreach and in-reach activities, coordinate events, and support education, data collection and reporting with the program team.

Qualifications

• Experience in outreach or health education with transgender populations.
• Ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team and partners.
• Strong facilitation and written/verbal communication skills.
• Comfort coordinating events, trainings, and community meetings.
• Proven time management and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Reach target population via telephone, mail, community visits and events.
• Establish relationships with transgender service providers in South L.A.
• Provide education and information through outreach activities and events.
• Attend meetings and assist with data collection and reporting.
• Create and maintain outreach materials and program records.
