Qualifications

• RN – Texas license with PSV compact; must obtain permanent Texas license within 60 days.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in nursing.
• Two years of clinical nursing experience in a tertiary health care setting.
• Experience in transfusion medicine and performance improvement preferred.
• Proficient in English; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Educate nurses and physicians on transfusion practices and consent.
• Perform active surveillance of transfusion processes and audits.
• Collaborate with departments to promote safe transfusion practices.
• Lead data collection, analysis, and reporting for blood management and conservation.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on transfusion issues within the organization.
