Job summary

AdventHealth Orlando is seeking a qualified Medical Laboratory Technician for the Transfusion Service Laboratory. You will perform pre-analytical and analytical tasks, report results, and support staff training on the main building's 2nd floor.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a medical laboratory-related field, strong English communication, and the ability to work night shifts. Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available to eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science or equivalent.
• Ability to follow SOPs and regulations; strong documentation.
• Excellent English communication and teamwork in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-analytical activities including equipment maintenance and sample processing.
• Conduct post-analytical activities including reporting results and technical support.
• Complete tests and procedures accurately per SOPs; participate in proficiency testing.
• Assist with training and mentoring of staff and students as needed.
• Support safety policies and PPE usage; handle hazardous materials as required.
• Contribute to laboratory and hospital performance improvement initiatives.
