Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs, evaluates, and monitors laboratory tests within established protocols.
• Evaluates results for clinical significance and reports appropriately.
• Calibrates, maintains, and repairs instruments and reviews quality control.
• Ensures proper specimen labeling and handling for all ages.
• Provides guidance and training to technicians, phlebotomists, and staff.
• Contributes to quality improvements and ensures compliance with standards.
• Performs proficiency testing and supports various testing areas including transfusion, microbiology, chemistry, hematology, histology, coagulation, and flow cytometry.
• Delivers timely, accurate results for critical care departments during high acuity events.
