Job summary

Qualifications

• BS in Clinical Laboratory Sciences required.
• BS in Medical Technology or related field also acceptable.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including potential travel to alternate sites.

Responsibilities

• Performs, evaluates, and monitors laboratory tests within established protocols.
• Evaluates results for clinical significance and reports as required.
• Performs calibration, maintenance and repair of instruments; detects malfunctions.
• Assists in quality control/assurance for improvement and corrective action.
• Ensures specimens are properly labeled and suitable for testing.
• Provides training and guidance to technicians and staff.
