Job summary

Sunbelt Solomon is seeking a Material Handler in Temple, TX to move, store, and manage transformer materials ensuring timely production and shipment. You will handle material flow, verify counts, and maintain clean, safe work areas in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include pulling orders, receiving materials, operating forklifts, and maintaining accurate inventory records. A HS diploma and 1–3 years transformer-related experience are required; OSHA10 is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Technical or Vocational school preferred.
• Basic MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
• 1–3 years transformer experience required.
• 1–3 years mechanical and/or electrical field experience required.
• OSHA10 certification preferred.
• Proven track record in safety excellence is required.
• Adheres to safety/environmental regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Pulls orders from inventory and delivers production materials as needed.
• Locates materials and supplies by following production orders.
• Maintains in-process inventory at work centers and delivers/opens materials.
• Documents materials and records units delivered and their locations.
• Prepares finished stock for shipment by packing and loading.
• Maintains material-handling equipment by performing pre-use inspections.
• Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and related machinery.
• Keeps inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean and safe.
• Receives and inspects incoming materials for quality and quantity.
• Verifies inventory counts and investigates discrepancies.
• Stores items in orderly warehouses and labeling areas.
• Handles work orders, bills of lading, and shipping documents.
• Maintains inventory transactions and performs cycle counts.
• Assists with audits and inventory control as needed.
• Reads and interprets work orders; learns other department functions.
