Job summary

Hyosung HICO, Ltd. in Memphis, TN is seeking an Associate Manufacturing Technician to perform mechanical assembly, disassembly and installation tasks on power transformers.

You will work with non-CNC equipment, measure parts, inspect quality, and follow prints and material lists to assemble units to specification. Ideal candidates hold a two-year associate degree in electrical or related field and at least one year of testing or utility experience, with strong math and electrical skills.

Qualifications

• Two-year associate degree in electrical or related technical field.
• Minimum one year experience in testing or utilities.
• Strong math and electrical engineering fundamentals.
• Experience reading mechanical/electrical drawings.
• Experience using inspection tools and instruments.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical assembly, disassembly and installation tasks for power transformers.
• Operate non-CNC equipment and related processes such as gluing, coating, painting and oil filling.
• Measure parts with scales, calipers and micrometers; document quality criteria.
• Assemble, align and fasten components per specifications; follow work instructions.
• Safely operate material handling equipment and maintain safety standards.
• Follow TPM and 6S procedures; assist supervisor as needed.
