Job summary

Hyosung HICO, Ltd. in Memphis, TN, is seeking an Associate Manufacturing Technician for final assembly of power transformers. You will perform mechanical assembly, disassembly, and installation tasks across our manufacturing process.

The role requires a two-year Associate’s Degree in electrical or related tech and 1+ year of relevant experience; electrical theory, measurements, and safety awareness are essential. Relocation or travel is not indicated.

Qualifications

Two-year Associate’s Degree in electrical or related tech plus at least 1 year of testing/utility experience.
Multiple years’ experience as electrician or service technician (high voltage or utility preferred).
Developed written and verbal communication skills.
Developed math and electrical engineering skills.
Broad experience with inspection tools, instruments and equipment.
Developed computer skills for data entry and retrieval.
Strong ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings.
Ability to inspect work and ensure quality.

Responsibilities

Perform manufacturing tasks: load/unload machinery and operate non-CNC or related equipment (gluing, coating, painting, testing).
Assemble/disassemble parts; align and fasten to final product per specs.
Measure parts with calipers, micrometers.
Inspect, verify and document quality to meet specs and tolerances.
Connect, crimp, solder and braze internal leads according to specs.
