Job summary

Parkway Health and Rehab Center is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to plan, administer, and supervise a comprehensive speech therapy program for patients and residents recovering from illness, disease, or injury.

Responsibilities include evaluating referrals, creating written treatment plans, coordinating with physicians, documenting progress, and supervising therapy aides and students. Experience in clinical supervision and documentation is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• CCC or CFY status required/ongoing; license to practice.
• Strong communication and collaboration with patients, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Review referrals and records to determine speech therapy needs.
• Plan and write treatment programs based on evaluations.
• Coordinate with physicians and staff to integrate therapy.
• Record treatment progress and outcomes.
• Assist in planning and budgeting for speech therapy services.
• Supervise aides and participate in student training.
• Diagnose and treat speech, language, swallowing, and related disorders.
• Develop and direct treatment programs to restore communication abilities.
• Assess swallowing using bedside methods and external studies.
• Ensure documentation aligns with third-party requirements.
• Participate in policy updates and department meetings.

Education

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology

CCC Certification or CFY in progress

State licensure to practice
