Job summary

Arup is seeking a Transformative Roadway Design Leader to inspire and lead at the planning and delivery phases of major projects on the West Coast. You will shape streets, mobility, and future-ready infrastructure while aligning with sustainable development goals.

The role requires 10–15 years of experience, a California PE, and a portfolio of street design work; you will oversee teams and coordinate with clients and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 10–15 years progressively responsible experience; Caltrans/State DOT exposure a plus.
• CA professional engineering license or ability to obtain quickly.
• Portfolio of professional street design projects and project leadership.

Responsibilities

• Shape the future of Arup’s roadway design with sustainable goals.
• Manage complete street and mobility design projects from concept to docs.
• Oversee staff on major roadway projects; ensure design standards compliance.
• Prepare deliverables and presentations; support client relationships.
