Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking an ambitious Senior Project Manager to join the transportation service team. The role emphasizes leadership over multidiscipline projects, client contacts, and sustained growth of the transportation design group.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in roadway design and project management, including public sector work. Responsibilities include planning, budgeting, resource deployment, QA/QC, and BD efforts.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
• Licensed Professional Civil Engineer (PE) in TX.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in transportation design and project management.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and other Westwood offices across the United States.

Responsibilities

• Manage the design and delivery of multidiscipline projects in a profitable manner.
• Supervise the work of project managers and engineers.
• Develop project work plans and budgets and allocate resources.
• Review metrics including utilization, backlog, work in process and accounts receivable.
• Prepare schedules for multiple concurrent projects and complex long-term programs.
• Develop and track milestones to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Complete monthly project accounting and invoicing.
• Implement and maintain QA/QC procedures.
• Participate in contract bidding, review submittals and RFIs.
• Resolve design conflicts and field construction issues.
• Represent clients and firm in meetings with governmental agencies.
• Write proposals, prepare qualification packages and lead interviews.
• Recruit, grow, mentor and train staff.
• Build relationships with clients and strategic partners; lead business development.
