Job summary

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Education is preferred.
• Experience in a multi-ethnic, urban community.
• Willingness to be trained in Orton Gillingham.

Responsibilities

• Plan individualized lessons targeting literacy needs.
• Teach using the Orton Gillingham approach in various settings.
• Maintain accurate timekeeping and attendance records.
• Assess student progress and share reports with schools and families.
• Build positive relationships with students, families, and partner staff.
• Collaborate with Reading Plus Director and partner schools.
• Attend literacy trainings and support school events.
• Perform other duties to support Urban Ventures’ mission.
