Job summary

Fortbendisd seeks an Elementary School Teacher for Special Education ECSE to provide instruction across academic, behavior, communication and daily living skills for ages 3-5, under the 2026-2027 plan.

The teacher collaborates with parents and school staff to develop PLAAFPs and annual goals, delivers developmentally appropriate lessons, and uses adaptive technology and ARD-driven strategies to support students with significant disabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field required.
• Valid Texas Teaching Certification appropriate to subject and grade level.
• EC-12 Special Education Certification EC-12 required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develop IEP goals aligned with Texas Pre-Kindergarten Guidelines.
• Plan curriculum with accommodations, modifications, and adaptations.
• Document progress and maintain records, including logs and data on IEP targets.
