Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field required.
• Texas Education Agency teaching certification appropriate to subject/grade level (or HOUSSE)
• Valid Special Education Certification EC-12
• CPI (De-Escalation/Restraint) certification required within 30 days of hire
• Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) training required within one year of hire

Responsibilities

• Develop clear, measurable IEP goals aligned with Texas Pre-Kindergarten Guidelines.
• Plan and implement curriculum with accommodations, modifications, and adaptations.
• Document student progress and maintain support/service logs and data.
• Administer and analyze student assessments including district tests.
• Develop PLAAFP and annual goals/objectives from assessment results.
• Prepare, organize and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans based on IEPs.
• Use adaptive/assistive technology as required by ARD to support learning and communication.
