The teacher will develop IEPs, implement individualized instruction, and collaborate with families, therapists, and school staff to meet each student's needs. This exempt role operates on a 187-day calendar with a focus on ARD and inclusive education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Valid Texas certificate with required special education endorsements.
• Semi-Annual Certification for Single Cost Objective employees is required.
• Ability to work effectively with school and community populations.
• Knowledge of ARD Committee process and IEP goal setting.
• General knowledge of curriculum and instruction.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with students, parents, and staff to develop IEPs through ARD for each student.
• Implement instructional, therapeutic, or skill development programs with written prep evidence.
• Plan and use instructional strategies reflecting students' learning styles and needs.
• Modify regular curricula with teachers and assist special education students in regular classes.
• Participate in ARD Committee meetings regularly.
• Conduct assessments of student learning styles and use results for planning.
• Present subject matter according to IEP guidelines.
• Employ varied instructional techniques and media to meet student needs.
