Job summary

Aa210 in Texas seeks an elementary Special Education Teacher (ECSE) to provide services for ages 3-5, developing IEP goals, coordinating with families and school staff, and using adaptive strategies to support language, behavior, and functional skills. The role requires certification in Special Education EC-12, CPI and ABA training, data collection, PLAAFP development, and collaboration in ARD meetings.

You will implement individualized instruction and document progress, while ensuring safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field.
• Valid Teaching Certification Issued by Texas Education Agency appropriate to subject and grade level of assignment
• Valid Special Education Certification Special Education, EC-12
• De-Escalation/Restraint Certification CPI certification within 30 days of providing instruction
• Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) training within one year of hire date
• Experience preferred but not required
• Ability to plan and implement lessons based on needs of students
• Ability to establish and maintain relationships with students, peers and parents
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Demonstrated knowledge of appropriate technology equipment and software programs

Responsibilities

• Develop IEP goals and objectives aligned with Texas Pre-Kindergarten Guidelines.
• Plan and implement curriculum with accommodations and modifications.
• Document ongoing student progress and maintain records.
• Administer and analyze student assessments.
• Develop PLAAFP statements and annual goals.
• Prepare and implement lesson plans based on IEPs.
• Use assistive technology to support learning and communication.
• Implement behavioral strategies per ARD documents; intervene as needed.
• Provide school health services under nurse supervision.
