Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
• Valid State of Tennessee teaching license in appropriate endorsement.
• Or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.

Responsibilities

• Plan and develop course of study per district and state guidelines.
• Develop and present engaging lesson plans using varied methods and tools.
• Establish learning targets and rigorous assessments aligned to standards.
• Track and analyze student data to inform instruction.
• Administer standardized tests per policy.
• Maintain classroom order and administer discipline as needed.
• Counsel students and support their academic, emotional, and social growth.
• Coordinate with staff, parents, and specialists to support IEP/504 plans.
• Coordinate events, activities, and field trips when applicable.
• Ensure safety and confidentiality of students and comply with policies.
