Job summary

Hamilton County Schools is seeking a qualified Social Studies teacher for grades 6-12. The role focuses on planning, delivering, and assessing instruction aligned to Tennessee standards, while differentiating lessons to meet diverse learner needs.

Candidates should demonstrate strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities and commit to high expectations for all students. Open to feedback, coaching, and continuous growth; Title I experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Valid Tennessee teaching license in Social Studies 6-8, 6-12 Social Studies OR current enrollment in an accredited teacher preparation program.

• Compensation & Additional Info:

  • Salary Scale based on education and experience – starting at $50,000.00
  • Eligible positions may qualify for additional pay under the Differentiated Compensation Plan
