Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field required.
• Minimum of 5 years of successful K-12 teaching experience.
• North Carolina teaching license required.
• Experience mentoring or supervising student teachers preferred.
• Strong collaboration and communication with stakeholders.
• Proficiency in using technology for communication and evaluation.
• Commitment to the mission and values of the Transformational Scholars Program.
• Valid driver’s license and Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Foster strong working relationships with assigned student teachers and plan sessions.
• Supervise and provide regular feedback; conduct formal observations; complete evaluations.
• Mentor and support student teachers; coordinate with cooperating teachers and university faculty.
• Connect student teachers with community resources and partnerships.
• Collaborate with program coordinators to ensure program success.
• Ensure placements align with curriculum and learning objectives.
• Maintain clear communication with stakeholders; provide timely updates.
• Travel to eastern North Carolina school districts to supervise student teachers.
