Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s in Nursing required; Master’s in Nursing preferred if Bachelor’s is not in Nursing.
• Licenses/Certifications: Texas nursing license, BLS, and professional certification within 1 year of eligibility.
• Experience/Knowledge/Skills: 3+ years in clinical area; demonstrated leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists with deployment of departmental goals that support the mission and values.
• Manage day-to-day operational components of the unit as delegated by manager/director.
• Plans, coordinates, and directs effective coordination of care between units, nurses and providers; assists with staff scheduling.
• Performs in emergencies; provides patient care as needed.
• Mentors staff and provides coaching; acts as a resource to medical personnel and families.
• Leads quality improvement initiatives and ensures PI standards are met daily.
