Job summary

Geneva County Schools is seeking a dynamic Principal for the Middle School to lead instructional governance and drive student achievement on every campus. You will oversee budgeting, staffing, curriculum alignment, and compliance with state regulations while partnering with the Superintendent and community stakeholders.

Responsibilities include developing the master schedule, supervising personnel, coordinating evaluations, and ensuring safe, high-quality educational experiences.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited educational institution.
• Certification in Educational Leadership, School Principal or Professional School Principal, or Administration and Supervision.
• Must meet background clearance requirements as specified by Alabama Statutes and State Board of Education regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and administer the development, implementation, and assessment of the instructional program at the assigned school.
• Use current research, performance data, and feedback from students, teachers, parents, and community to improve instruction and student performance.
• Promote high student achievement.
• Coordinate program planning with system instructional staff.
• Manage the selection of textbooks, materials, and equipment.
• Manage and administer the testing program for the school.
• Align school initiatives with system, state, and school goals.
• Establish and coordinate procedures for evaluation of curriculum and staff.
