Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Senior Philanthropy Director to lead a multi-year transformational fundraising effort across the Central South Texas markets including Dallas, Houston and Austin. You will cultivate high-potential relationships, solicit major gifts, and steward donors, reporting to the VP of Transformational Giving.

This role requires 10+ years in fundraising, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to work across corporate, foundation and individual donors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related discipline required.
• Minimum 10 years of fundraising and/or sales experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of fundraising principles and large-organization tactics.
• Successful track record in soliciting large funds.
• Excellent organizational, collaborative, analytical, presentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement an overall fundraising strategy and manage a donor portfolio with seven-figure capacity.
• Partner with field fundraisers to maximize revenue growth from individuals, foundations, and corporations.
• Develop strategies to identify and leverage relationships with decision-makers and C-suite contacts.
• Prepare presentations and proposals; directly solicit to cultivate and grow relationships.
• Collaborate with other departments to align proposals with donor objectives; recruit high-net-worth donors.
