Information about This Engagement:

VALERE is seeking a Transformation Project Manager for our government client to support a high-visibility $54MM enterprise transformation initiative.

This remote opportunity will focus on overseeing technology readiness and implementation projects, including commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software rollouts, data governance capabilities, and modernization of IT practices across our Client's large Government agency law enforcement agency.

The Transformation Project Manager will work cross-functionally with Program and Project Managers to ensure projects remain aligned to business goals and timelines.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Manage Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid projects across multiple teams and workstreams
• Execute project planning, scheduling, scope, risk, cost, change, and status reporting activities
• Lead implementation of software solutions including COTS, SaaS, and custom builds
• Coordinate cross-functional project efforts supporting infrastructure, services, and enterprise applications
• Facilitate stakeholder communication, project updates, and group decision-making
• Track progress in strategic portfolio management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Planview, DevOps)
• Prioritize and delegate project tasks while escalating risks and roadblocks
• Support procurement and vendor management activities as needed
• Promote collaborative work and customer service across business and technical teams
• Provide knowledge transfer and project continuity support throughout the engagement

WHAT YOU BRING:

• Deep understanding of PMBoK-aligned project management best practices and Agile principles
• Proven experience managing complex projects with hybrid methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Iterative)
• Strong knowledge of Software/System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Hands-on experience with enterprise software implementations (COTS, SaaS, custom applications)
• Proficiency in portfolio/project tools such as Microsoft Project, Planview, and DevOps
• Demonstrated ability to lead data migration and interface/data exchange efforts
• Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder facilitation skills
• Experience managing procurement processes within public or large-scale organizations
• Ability to motivate teams, build rapport, and deliver results in a distributed environment

Pay Rate: This is a contract role with an hourly rate range of $50–$60/hr: Your specific rate will depend on your qualifications, education, certifications, location, and how well your experience aligns with the client's requirements.
