Location: Remote with ability to conduct yearly site visits to Aberdeen Proving Ground

About The Role

North South Consulting Group (NSCG) is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Manager to support a high-visibility initiative for the U.S. Army. The selected candidate will lead project management efforts for a Salesforce platform that supports a wide range of internal operations, including workforce management, HR activities, and financial tracking. The system continues to expand as the organization advances its digital modernization efforts across multiple business functions.

The Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business needs, gather and refine requirements, and translate those into clear, actionable work items for the development team. This role is responsible for preventing scope creep, maintaining alignment between stakeholder expectations and development output, and ensuring consistent progress toward delivery milestones.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between functional stakeholders and the development team
• Capture and refine business requirements, turning them into clearly defined user stories
• Manage the backlog, prioritize tasks, and support sprint planning and progress tracking
• Conduct regular stakeholder check-ins to validate direction and ensure alignment
• Review deliverables, perform functional testing, and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Monitor and report on timelines, risks, and scope changes
• Maintain accurate project documentation and status reports
• Support release coordination and ensure quality standards are met prior to delivery
• Facilitate agile ceremonies such as standups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming
• Identify blockers early and collaborate with leadership to resolve them
  
  

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience managing technology projects or platform enhancement initiatives
• Strong background in Agile project management frameworks (Scrum, Kanban)
• Experience working in or supporting government or defense organizations
• An active Secret Security Clearance or be able to obtain one.
• Ability to translate complex stakeholder needs into structured development requirements
• Familiarity with business applications such as CRMs, HR systems, and financial platforms
• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience with project tracking tools such as Monday, ClickUp, Jira, or similar
• Comfortable working in dynamic environments and managing competing priorities
  
  

Additional Preferred Experience

• Demonstrated experience managing Salesforce projects or programs
• Familiarity with DoD acquisition, HR, or financial processes
• Salesforce certifications or relevant coursework
