Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist for outpatient services.

You will evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients to maximize function and minimize pain, designing individualized treatment plans and educating patients and families. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, supervise PT aides and students, document progress, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Doctoral, Masters or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited PT program or PT certificate.
• Current Physical Therapist license in the State of Pennsylvania or New Jersey, based on work location.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required upon hire or within 30 days.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a physical therapist in an outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive initial evaluations and develops a treatment plan to improve movement, reduce pain, and restore function.
• Provides skilled interventions tailored to patient needs using appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Collaborates with patients to establish short- and long-term goals.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and other health care providers, ensuring confidentiality and cultural sensitivity.
• Supervises PT Assistants and students as assigned and maintains documentation in medical records.
• Participates in quality improvement activities and professional development opportunities.
• Attends meetings and contributes to department programs.
