WIN Waste Innovations in Milford, CT is seeking an Operations Manager to lead one of our Operating Units with full P&L responsibility, overseeing a matrix team across Operations, Maintenance, Sales and Finance. The role drives local market strategy, ensures safe operations, enhances customer experience, and champions efficiency to maximize profitability while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Travel up to 30% may be required as you coordinate with government and community stakeholders and build

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences, Engineering or Business.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Demonstrated business acumen, strategic thinking and execution against strategy.
• Ability to lead large scale change initiatives.
• Direct large staff of functional experts to execute the corporate strategy.
• Strong teamwork and coaching capabilities.
• Process-oriented with goal-driven mindset.
• Experience in environmental services industry.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Implements and executes plans to complement the Company's strategic operating plan; champions the execution of the strategic plan and tactical initiatives within the Operating Unit, including but not limited to operating safely, enhancing customer experience, improving efficiency, and maximizing profitability.
• Works with Market Manager to drive the sales efforts within to achieve targeted growth objectives, exceed customer experience expectations and optimize profitability.
• Oversees effective safety and accident prevention programs to ensure all reasonable action are taken to prevent accidents and injuries; ensures a safe and productive work environment for all employees.
• Leads operations to ensure compliance with all standards including environmental, operating, regulatory, safety, accounting and ethics.
• Manages performance and talent development.
• Builds and maintains strong and effective relations with relevant government, community and environmental groups.
• This position may require travel by air, car and/or other modes of transportation up to 30% of the time.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.
• Maintain positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers and management.
