Job summary

Republic Services in Yorktown, VA is seeking an Operations Supervisor – Transfer Station to oversee activities within a transfer station segment. You will supervise dispatchers, clerks, drivers and helpers to maximize productivity and ensure compliance with weight regulations.

You will partner with the Operations Manager and General Manager to drive safety, customer experience, and efficiency while maintaining budget goals and a culture of employee engagement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of lead or supervisory experience.
• Participation in the Company’s management trainee program.
• Bachelor’s degree in a business related field.
• Experience in labor relations.

Responsibilities

• Safety: Lead safety goals and reduce unsafe conditions at the transfer station.
• Customer Experience: meet or exceed customer expectations and resolve issues.
• Efficiency: establish productivity goals, manage labor hours and disposal costs.
• Employee Engagement: build a collaborative team and develop talent for advancement.
• Lead drivers to exceed productivity goals for all routes.
• Execute operational plans to meet budgeted goals.
