Job summary

Liberty Waste Solutions’ Apex Transfer Station in North Carolina seeks an experienced Operations Supervisor to lead daily operations, safety, compliance, and efficiency. You will manage staff, coordinate contractors, operate equipment, and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include supervising transfer station activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, coordinating maintenance, overseeing scale operations, and delivering strong customer service and financial performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in supervisory roles in transfer station, landfill, recycling, or heavy industrial ops.
• Minimum 3 years operating heavy equipment in a production environment.
• Experience managing contractors and coordinating multiple work groups.
• Experience with truck scales or willingness to learn scale operations.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily transfer station operations ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Supervise acceptance, inspection, sorting, loading, storage, and shipment of materials.
• Operate/oversee heavy equipment and support daily operations.
• Back up Scale Attendant: weigh vehicles and log transactions.
