Job summary

Enloe Health in Chico, CA is seeking a Transfer Services Specialist to support the Utilization Management team with patient transfers both into and out of the hospital. You will collaborate with the Emergency Department, Case Management, and EMS to ensure safe, timely transfers and provide administrative support to leadership.

The role requires 2 years in a medical setting or an associates degree in a health-related field, plus strong MS Office and data skills.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and Internet access.
• Ability to collect and analyze data and ensure data integrity.
• Experience or ability to learn from state/federal funding sources.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient transfers promptly, efficiently and safely.
• Provide administrative support to Transfer Services Director and Supervisor (onboarding, meetings, record keeping).
• Liaise with ED, Case Management, Payors and outside transfer services to ensure smooth operations.
