Job summary

Findlay Products Corp. in Findlay, OH, is seeking a Die Set Technician / Stamping Press Operator for the 2nd shift to maintain and operate transfer presses.

You will set up dies, monitor press parameters, perform quality inspections, and coordinate with the Press Improvement Team to optimize downtime and throughput. The role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to start and restart presses from shutdown conditions.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the responsibilities and essential functions of a Die Set Technician.
• Knowledge of die setting, press parameters, and starting the press from a shutdown condition.
• Initiates press production runs to a continuous mode.
• Performs quality inspection checks, First Off/Last Off inspections and inspection procedures.
• Transports dies, performs die set ups and changes dies in transfer press according to the production schedule.
• Performs rail setups and ensures proper hookup and operation.
• Installs, positions, and aligns dies on the bolster.
• Trains part packers on proper methods.
• Maximizes each job/die when in the press.
• Documents issues with a die and/or press and communicates to the Press Improvement Teams.
• Works with Press Improvement Team, Tool & Die, and Maintenance to optimize press utilization, changeover, repairs.
• Make gripper adjustments, end stop adjustments and adjust coil feed parameters to minimize downtime.
• Performs small maintenance repairs as needed.
• Follows safety regulations and maintains housekeeping.
• Performs other essential functions as assigned.
