Job summary

The University of Texas at El Paso is seeking a Transfer Credit Specialist to manage the evaluation and processing of transfer credits for new and continuing students. You will serve as a resource for students, staff, and faculty on policies, transfer procedures, and articulation agreements, helping ensure accurate credit interpretation and enrollment readiness.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree.
• Two years of experience, related to the statement of duties and responsibilities; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in academic advising, admissions, transfer evaluation, or related field.
• Experience in handling confidential information.
• Experience with systematically researching a variety of sources to collect requested information.

Responsibilities

• Review, evaluate, and process transfer credits for new, continuing, and returning students.
• Assist students, staff, and faculty with interpreting university transfer policies.
• Support articulation agreements with the university and partner community colleges.
• Process and evaluate college and university transcripts for transfer admissions.
• Verify transcripts from national and international institutions and check accreditation.
• Create and update electronic transfer credit records and coordinate services for transfer students.
• Maintain Banner articulation information including catalogs and contacts.
• Review study abroad articulation; help develop and maintain articulation agreements.
• Provide excellent service to the university community.
