Job summary

The Admissions Transfer Coordinator within the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at Hampton University will provide excellent service to prospective transfer students and their families as they look at transitioning into HU. This position has flexibility in finding new and innovative ways to recruit stellar future Pirates.

The role oversees transfer recruitment efforts, degree-encoding improvements, partnership management, and reporting to athletics and coaches; evening/weekend work is possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and two years of relevant experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Preferred: Master’s degree and internships in related areas.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for transfer recruitment and coordinate recruiting efforts.
• Serve as the primary contact for transfer articulation issues.
• Plan and execute transfer-specific events and programs on and off campus.
• Maintain records of transfer partnerships and agreements, including 2+2 and other pathways.
• Prepare unofficial evaluations of prospective transfer student-athlete records.
• Work with university departments to obtain course equates for domestic and international students.
• Occasional evening and weekend work.
