Job summary

Longwood University is seeking a Transfer Admissions Coordinator to support transfer student enrollment, serving as a liaison between the university, prospective transfer students, and community college partners. The role involves recruiting, advising, and guiding applicants through the transfer process to ensure a smooth transition to Longwood University.

The position requires on-campus work in Farmville, Virginia, with travel as needed and a salary range of $40,000–$50,000.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Experience in an Admissions office, student recruitment, and/or student transition services or advising in higher education.
• Excellent customer service and ability to work with diverse populations.
• Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
• Ability to travel and work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Actively recruit transfer students by visiting partner colleges and hosting information sessions.
• Coordinate with campus partners to plan recruitment events and information sessions.
• Develop visits and events with transfer counselors to strengthen relationships.
• Plan in-person and virtual information sessions, campus tours, and timelines for applicants.
• Collaborate to design recruitment plans supporting diverse transfer populations.
• Lead outreach to increase applications, campus visits, and yield.
• Track progress and ensure timely follow-up and matriculation.
