Job summary

Wabtec Corporation presents a Transducer Manufacturing Engineering Co-op based in Waltham, MA, January–June 2027. You will join a multidisciplinary team addressing design, testing, and documentation of transducer production processes.

You will contribute to Lean improvements, read engineering drawings, and collaborate with Production Engineering, Quality and Product Management teams, with data analyzed in Excel and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing BS or MS degree in Physics, Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or other Engineering discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead primary project assigned for the co-op term from start to completion.
• Assist Sr. Acoustics Engineer in evaluation, development and implementation of new test systems and protocols.
• Assist production and production engineering team with other projects and tasks as needed.
• Collect manufacturing data using Excel, Power BI and internal software tools.
• Conduct process audits and time studies, proposing Lean Manufacturing improvements.
