Aerotek in Poway, CA seeks a Transducer Assembler to join a dedicated manufacturing team. You will assemble transducers and related components per blueprints, use soldering irons, crimpers, and basic hand tools, and ensure quality.

Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • 1–5 years of mechanical assembly experience or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in mechanical assembly and soldering.
  • Ability to read blueprints, BOMs and drawings.

  • Basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word) and math for ratios.

Job Title: Transducer Assembler
Job Description

This role focuses on assembling transducers and related mechanical components in a manufacturing environment, following detailed blueprints, bills of materials, and mechanical drawings. You will use soldering equipment and basic hand tools to build, rework, and test assemblies while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy. The position offers a contract-to-hire path, consistent first-shift hours, and opportunities for overtime in a supportive, team-oriented setting.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble transducers and related mechanical components according to blueprints, bills of materials, mechanical drawings, and written work instructions.
  • Use soldering irons, crimpers, and basic hand tools to perform precise mechanical assembly and soldering tasks.
  • Interpret drawings and specifications to build, modify, and rework assemblies to meet required standards.
  • Follow detailed verbal and written instructions to complete production tasks accurately and on schedule.
  • Calculate and mix material ratios correctly to support assembly and production processes.
  • Perform simple mathematical calculations, including ratios and fractions, as part of daily assembly work.
  • Verify that assemblies meet quality requirements and make necessary adjustments or rework when needed.
  • Use basic computer applications such as Outlook, Excel, and Word to access work instructions, record data, and communicate with team members.
  • Maintain an organized and clean work station, supporting 5S and Lean Manufacturing practices where applicable.
  • Handle tools, materials, and equipment safely and follow all facility safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Work independently at a dedicated work station while collaborating with the broader production team as needed.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety in the assembly process.
Essential Skills
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • 1–5 years of closely related mechanical assembly experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in mechanical assembly and soldering.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, bills of materials, mechanical drawings, and written instructions.
  • Ability to understand and follow detailed verbal instructions.
  • Skill in interpreting drawings and performing rework on assemblies.
  • Basic computer skills, including use of Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
  • Ability to calculate and mix material ratios accurately.
  • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations, including ratios and fractions.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with hand tools and soldering equipment.
  • Eligibility to work with ITAR-controlled technical data as a U.S. Person, in accordance with applicable regulations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Understanding of 5S and Lean Manufacturing practices is a plus.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Familiarity with wires, crimpers, and other basic assembly tools.
  • Comfort working independently at a dedicated work station while contributing to a team environment.

Work Environment

This is a Contract position based out of Poway, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
