Job summary

Lionbridge is seeking freelance English Transcribers based in the United States to collaborate on a project with a leading education company. The role requires native English proficiency, US residency, prior transcription experience, and a 55+ WPM typing speed.

The engagement includes 10–20 hours per week, with weekly PO issued. Training with a speed test and two rounds totals 8–10 hours, paid. Rate: $20 per hour, start late Feb/early March, finish mid-May.

Lionbridge is currently seeking freelance English Transcribers based in the United States to collaborate on a project with one of the world’s leading education companies.

Position Requirements

• Native-level proficiency in English
• Residency in the United States
• Previous transcription experience
• Typing speed of at least 55 words per minute
• A bachelor’s degree in a language-related field (such as Linguistics, TESOL, Language Studies, or English) is advantageous but NOT a must, same with teaching experience is a plus

Project Details

• Work Scope: A minimum of 10 to a maximum of 20 hours per week, with a purchase order created after each week of work.
• Duration: The project is scheduled to commence in late February or early March and will conclude in mid-May.
• Training: Participants must successfully complete specific training, which includes a speed test and two rounds of training, totaling approximately 8-10 hours. Compensation is provided for training hours.
