Job summary

Expeditors International, a global logistics leader headquartered in Seattle, seeks a Transcon Agent to ensure smooth freight process flow, accurate data entry, and timely tracking and billing. This on-site role involves close collaboration with colleagues in a dynamic team environment and interaction with customers and vendors to meet service standards.

The position reports to the Transcon Manager and requires strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication with a customer-service focus.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Highly detail-oriented with accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team.
• Fluent in English; Norwegian language skills are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system
• Track and Trace Transcon files and reporting
• Ensure accurate and timely client and vendor billing
• Interact with customers in arranging their shipments to meet customers service standards
• Contribute and maintain good relationships with suppliers
• Network communications, timely responses to emails and requests
• Meet KPI standards in accordance with Company policy

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system
• Track and Trace Transcon files and reporting

• Relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and practical experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding customer service
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Highly detail-oriented, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
• Fluent in English, with strong written and spoken communication skills. Norwegian language skills are considered an advantage
